THE PAVILION is located right in front of La Chapelle de La Source and adds to the world of LA SOURCE with a new fully flexible space dedicated to your custom events.

Spread over three levels, THE PAVILION houses three independent, fully equipped rooms: LE PARVIS, L’ESPLANADE, and LES ARCHIVES, each offering a flexible 80 m² space to adapt to your various event formats.

THE PAVILION features 2 rooftop of 90 m², accessible on the first floor, allowing your guests to enjoy a pleasant outdoor setting in the heart of the site.

Designed as a true extension of LA SOURCE, it carries the same spirit and attention to detail that define LA SOURCE, creating a warm and unique atmosphere for every event.

History

The Chapel of Saint-Joseph Prison

The complex consists of 6 pavilions connected by stone arcades, designed to manage different groups of prisoners in separate ways.

Baltard envisioned the prison as a place of redemption and moral reconstruction, which is why it had both the appearance of a convent and a hospital. In fact, the care of prisoners was provided by nuns.

In 2009, the prison, becoming unsanitary and overcrowded, was relocated to Corbas and restructured between 2012 and 2015.

From 2017 to 2019, after over two years of renovation work on the Chapel, La SOURCE finally opened its doors.
